50 Years of German-Vietnamese Relations Event

Fifty years ago, the Federal Republic of Germany and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam established diplomatic relations. Since then, the partnership between our two countries has grown continuously, with the “Strategic Partnership” launched in 2011 marking a key milestone. Today, Germany is Vietnam’s most important trading partner within the EU. Conversely, Vietnam ranks among Germany’s key economic partners within ASEAN.

As the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Vietnam (AHK Vietnam), we witness daily how dynamically and diversely the Vietnamese market is evolving – not only as a sales and sourcing destination, but also as an attractive investment location for German businesses.

To celebrate 50 years of bilateral relations, we warmly invite you to our special event. The focus will be on the experiences of German companies operating in Vietnam, support programs and institutions, and an increasingly relevant topic for both countries: skilled workforce development.
