The visit, organized in cooperation with AHK Vietnam, aimed to deepen business ties and explore strategic collaboration between Germany’s Black Forest region and Southeast Asia’s rising star.

Kickoff in Ho Chi Minh City: Business Meets Culture

The delegation began its journey in Ho Chi Minh City, immersing itself in the city’s dynamic business environment. Company visits to Pepperl+Fuchs Vietnam and Fischer ASIA provided valuable insights into successful German investments in Vietnam. Engaging discussions followed with key stakeholders, including Rhenus Logistics, JP contagi Asia, and Luther Vietnam, focusing on critical areas such as logistics, human resources, and Vietnam’s legal framework.

A highlight of the stay was a visit to Deutsches Haus Ho Chi Minh City, where delegates exchanged ideas on bilateral cooperation and sustainable business development. Beyond the boardrooms, the group also took time to experience Vietnamese culture, laying the foundation for long-term, trust-based partnerships.

A Northern Expansion: Hanoi, Ha Long & Hai Phong

The delegation then traveled north, making stops in Hanoi, Ha Long, and Hai Phong. In this leg of the journey, they visited industry leaders including INGUN, Thanh Cong Group, VINFAST, and ZF Automotive. These site visits showcased Vietnam’s rapid advancements in automotive, manufacturing, and industrial infrastructure.

Strategic conversations with representatives from the German Embassy, Germany Trade & Invest (GTAI), and AHK Vietnam provided a macroeconomic perspective, highlighting Vietnam’s resilience, growth trajectory, and investment potential even amid global uncertainties.

From test-driving electric vehicles to exploring opportunities in industrial zones, the trip illustrated how German companies can play a pivotal role in shaping Vietnam’s industrial future.

A Foundation for Future Collaboration

Throughout the trip, delegates demonstrated strong interest, curiosity, and a collaborative spirit. Their active participation underscored the growing importance of Vietnam as a key partner for German SMEs and industries.

AHK Vietnam and its partners express sincere thanks to all participants and local stakeholders for their hospitality, transparency, and valuable contributions to a successful delegation trip.

Vietnam has proven itself not only as a resilient economy but as a thriving partner for innovation, sustainability, and industrial cooperation. The journey may have ended, but the conversations—and the opportunities—are just beginning.
