Energy Business Delegation to Cambodia and Vietnam: Energy-Efficient Solutions for Industry

From November 17 to November 21, 2025, a business trip on the topic of energy-efficient solutions for industry will take place in Cambodia and Vietnam. 

On November 17, 2025, a half-day workshop in Phnom Penh will focus on professional exchange and discussions with Cambodian industry representatives and experts. In this context, you will have the opportunity to present your products, services, and their potential applications. 

The following day, a group visit is planned before the delegation continues its journey to Vietnam. 

On Wednesday, November 19, 2025, you will present your “Made in Germany” products and services in Ho Chi Minh City to a selected Vietnamese professional audience. This audience will include representatives from local administration and politics, organizations and institutions, industrial companies (e.g., textile and garment industry, plastics, packaging, and food industry), as well as construction companies and investors. 

As part of the delegation trip, the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Vietnam (AHK Vietnam) will organize meetings for you with Vietnamese and Cambodian decision-makers and potential business partners. Your contact preferences will be carefully coordinated in advance with AHK Vietnam using a questionnaire.

Market Information 

Due to their dynamic economic development and increasing focus on sustainability, the countries of Vietnam and Cambodia offer promising prospects for German companies in the field of energy-efficient technologies. 

Vietnam is pursuing ambitious climate goals, including through the national energy efficiency program (VNEEP). The government promotes investment in modern technologies through a variety of incentive systems. The strong demand for high-quality solutions is accompanied by growing interest in German technology, particularly due to its innovation and reliability. 

Cambodia, on the other hand, is still in an early stage of energy market development but shows great growth potential. Energy consumption has quadrupled in recent years and is forecast to triple again by 2035. At the same time, high electricity prices are prompting companies to increasingly seek efficiency improvements. With its “National Energy Efficiency Policy” (NEEP), the Cambodian government aims to reduce national energy consumption by at least 19% by 2030. 

This results in a dual opportunity for German companies: while Vietnam offers the advantage of an already established market, Cambodia provides the chance to position oneself early on as a reliable partner.
