The EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement offers significant security and a range of important, often new opportunities for European SMEs to engage with Vietnam – an important trading partner with a dynamic market. Opportunities range from better market access for agricultural goods to more predictable technical regulations for manufactured goods; from better market access to better regulation for financial, environmental and many other services; and from improved intellectual property protection for businesses to better monitoring, supervision and implementation of the commitments by the EU and Vietnamese authorities.
While Vietnam is very attractive, European SMEs often encounter challenges related to lack of information, lack of know how, or simply lack of a good place to start looking for answers. The EU Delegation to Vietnam has therefore commissioned the development of a practical Electronic Guide for European SMEs: Trading with Vietnam which shall serve to provide SMEs with that first point of call, complete with first information and links to further details and documentation.
This webinar introduces and launches the Electronic Guide to its users – first and foremost European SMEs, but also other interested stakeholders. The EU Delegation to Vietnam will introduce this new tool, the authors – Experts in/on Vietnam and its trade and investment regime – will present its content and features, and will respond to any question or suggestion you may have. The Guide will be revised and updated later this year – taking your feedback into account.
