Since 2008, Bosch Powertrain Solutions Plant in Dong Nai (HcP) has officially come into operation. The core product is the Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) belt - an important component for modern automobiles. Over 15 years of establishment and development, HcP has become Bosch's largest CVT belt plant with over 1,800 employees and a total output of more than 50 million products.
In 2013, Bosch initiated the Dual Vocational Training Program (TGA) within the training program’s framework of AHK Vietnam. This program aims to train a high-quality workforce for Vietnam, and in particular, for Bosch. As of 2023, TGA has successfully enrolled 238 apprentices across 10 generations. The number of graduates is currently 134, of whom 97% have continued to work at Bosch Vietnam.
The celebration of the 15th anniversary of Bosch HcP and the 10th anniversary TGA Center has also welcomed special guests such as Mr. Nguyen Son Hung, the Vice Chairman of Dong Nai People’s Committee, Dr. Josefine Wallat, Consul General of the Federal Republic of Germany in Ho Chi Minh City, representatives of Bosch in Asia, representatives of EuroCham and GBA, as well as Mr. Cuong, director of Lilama2 and Dr. Tomas Benz, the president of VGU.
The graduation ceremony followed as part of the program which also marked a turning point for 25 apprentices of the Dual Vocational Training Program in 2 occupations: Mechatronics and Industrial Mechanics
As Bosch TGA’s partner for 10 years on this “journey towards excellence”, Marko Walde, Chief Representative of AHK Vietnam has emphasized in his speech: “Human resources and well-trained workers play an important role in the economy and are the hidden weapons for Vietnam to develop sustainably. We hope that after graduation, the apprentices will be ready to enter the labor force with professional skills that meet the industry’s demands. Congratulations to Bosch, to the graduates, and to the parents!”
Bosch's dual vocational training program according to the German DIHK Standards is one of the first partnerships under the dual-vocation training framework of the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Vietnam (GIC/AHK Vietnam), attracting hundreds of applications annually and ensuring sustainable development of the labor market in Vietnam.
