Vietnam is one of the most economically dynamic regions in the Southeast Asian economic area. Last year alone, Bavarian companies exported goods with a total value of half a billion euros, while imports of goods from Vietnam to Bavaria totaled over 2 billion euros.

The free trade agreement with the EU that came into force in 2020 and the simultaneous ASEAN membership show that Vietnam is becoming an increasingly sought-after partner. As a production location, it ensures a sustainable supply network and a diversified procurement strategy. The news that Vietnam's national airline intends to offer non-stop flights to Munich three times a week from October also speaks in favor of this.
