Vietnam is becoming a workbench for East and South Asia. This development is fuelled by a massive diversification of production processes out of China. The low labour costs (average salary 270 USD), a relatively liberal investment environment as well as its favourable geographical position let Vietnam become an attractive investment destination for foreign companies. In the past years, the foreign direct investments usually reached amounts of 20 to 40 billion USD. However, evaluating suitable investment locations is prone to challenges. Our service supports potential investors in the navigation through Vietnam’s more than 300 industrial zones.
Challenges
Vietnam’s central investment promotion agency provides only rudimentary services to potential investors. Incentives and investment decisions are made by the 63 cities and provinces of Vietnam. Our investment location analysis operates as a guidepost and provides potential investors with detailed information on the Vietnamese investment landscape.
Process of Investment Location Analysis
Step 1: Definition of "site selection criteria" and location research
In cooperation with you we will define customized site selection criteria that may include the needed production area, labor requirements or demands for the logistic infrastructure. On this basis we will screen potential locations.
Step 2: Site evaluation
Based on your criteria we will request offers from inudstrial zones to compare and select suitable locations. As a result, we will create a ranking of all potential locations. From this shortlist we will choose sites for further evaluation in close cooperation with you.
Step 3: On-site evaluation
We welcome you to Vietnam to evaluate the shortlisted industrial zones on site. The organization of the trip’s agenda including travel arrangements will be done by us. On request we can set up meetings with local People’s Committees or investment promotion agencies. We support you during the meetings and may provide you with our own assessment of the meetings. Moreover, we usually arrange appointments with lawyers, recruiters or other relevant service providers.
