Today, Ms. Trang Dao, Head of Business Development Services of AHK Vietnam, was delighted to participate in the opening ceremony of KURZ Vietnam’s factory in Binh Dinh. AHK Vietnam had the great honor to witness this special milestone of KURZ together with the esteemed guests:
- Government representatives from the MPI, MoF, and State Bank of Vietnam;
- Local authorities such as Mr. Ho Quoc Dung, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Mr. Le Kim Toan, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, and Mr. Pham Anh Tuan, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee;
- Partners including AHK Vietnam, Becamex VSIP Binh Dinh, and TMA Solutions;
- Representatives from KURZ: Mr. Walter Kurz (Owner), Mr. Peter Kurz, Dr. Andreas Hirschfelder (Global CEO), the entire Management Board, global factory leadership, and Dr. Cosima von Salis (Country Director, KURZ Vietnam)
KURZ is a reputable global corporation with headquarters in Bavaria, Germany, specializing in providing high-quality decorative and protective surface products such as holographic effects, digital printing, heat transfer printing, direct decoration, and textile heat transfer.
KURZ’s investment project in Vietnam marks the first high-tech FDI initiative from Germany implemented in Binh Dinh province and the Becamex VSIP Binh Dinh Industrial Park. Their factory in Vietnam, in its first phase, has a total investment of 40 million USD and covers an area of 12 hectares. It has a production capacity of up to 15 million square meters of products per year, mainly focusing on Luxor and Alufin films.
The new factory in Binh Dinh, together with the existing factories in Malaysia and China, will enhance the influence of the KURZ Group in the Asian region. This solid foundation enables KURZ to actively contribute to the development of this area and meet the global market demand with high-quality products designed, developed, and manufactured by KURZ.
With the goal of "making each product unique", KURZ designs and produces film products and transfer coatings to serve the supply chain of various industries such as automotive, mobile phones, home appliances, money and bank cards, and many other products and branches worldwide. Following outstanding achievements in science, technology, and engineering, KURZ Vietnam has begun producing hot stamping foils, which are used in the process of heat pressing onto plastic surfaces to create decorative patterns, making outcomes unique and elegant.
During the ceremony, Mr. Walter Kurz, the owner of KURZ, emphasized in his speech the significance of Vietnam in the company's regional development strategy, considering it a shining gem within the KURZ family. He expressed his commitment to long-term investment in Vietnam, solidifying KURZ's dedication to the country's growth and prosperity.
