After the success of previous year, the Association for Supply Chain Management, Procurement and Logistics (BME) and the AHKs from Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand and Myanmar are excited to organise the Purchasing Iniviative in 2023 on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK).

This year, we continue to focus on on Metal construction, cast and forged parts, stamped and bent parts, gearbox, injection molding, plastic and electronic components, electromechanical parts, welded assemblies, assembly, screws, nuts, wire and tubes, packaging, production materials and drawing parts... Mr Holzgrefe - Head of International Business & Affairs of BME said "More than 300 B2B meetings were successfully held last year.

A large number of suppliers, especially from Vietnam, Malaysia and Thailand, were able to convince German buyers of their competitiveness. Procurement alternatives in Asia continue to be in demand and countries in this region offer very good development opportunities."

• February 2023: Vietnamese suppliers register to attend the supplier seminar on 8th March. Registration link: https://forms.office.com/r/0kHSXJrn5d 
• End of Feb 2023: AHK sends an excel file with a list of German buyers and their requirements for items, components, etc. to Vietnamese suppliers. Vietnamese suppliers consider the products they can provide, fill in the file and send it back to AHK. 
• 8th March 2023, from 14:00 to 15:30: Online seminar to introduce the project and answer questions related to the list of German buyers 
• 17th March 2023: Deadline for Vietnamese suppliers to send the fulfilled excel file back to AHK. AHK summarizes the list and sends it to the German partner. 
• End of April 2023: If the Vietnamese suppliers meet the requirements of the German buyers, AHK will send Vietnamese suppliers a notice of schedule and links for online meetings. 
• From 8th to 19th May 2023: expected time frame for online meetings B2B meetings. 
• Project language: English only
