The Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Vietnam (AHK Vietnam) was honored to welcome the delegation from FHDW-Paderborn for their third visit to Vietnam. This journey provided students and faculty with in-depth exposure to Vietnam’s thriving economy, fostering valuable connections between academia and industry.
A Dynamic Start in Hanoi
The delegation began their journey in Hanoi with an insightful briefing at the Goethe-Institut, where they engaged with representatives from Goethe-Institut, Germany Trade & Invest (GTAI), the German Embassy, and AHK Vietnam. This session laid the foundation for understanding Vietnam’s economic landscape and the role of German institutions in the country. Special thanks to Goethe-Institut for hosting this impactful exchange.
The delegation then explored Vietnam’s manufacturing sector with site visits to B. Braun and An Phu Viet plastic factory in Hung Yen. These visits showcased the success of German investments in Vietnam and provided firsthand insights into the country’s dynamic industrial growth.
Further enriching their experience, the delegation participated in a valuable exchange program with Hanoi University of Mining and Geology. This cross-cultural dialogue allowed students from both universities to discuss economic development, business collaboration, and future opportunities.
Unveiling Business Opportunities in Ho Chi Minh City
The journey continued in Ho Chi Minh City, where the delegation attended expert briefings at AHK Vietnam. Industry leaders from Rhenus Logistics, JP contagi Asia, and Luther Vietnam provided key insights into logistics, HR, and legal frameworks, equipping students with practical knowledge about doing business in Vietnam.
The delegation also had the opportunity to visit leading companies such as Cicor Group, NashTech Vietnam, Pepperl+Fuchs, and Ecogloves. These visits highlighted the diversity of German businesses in Vietnam and emphasized the potential for future collaborations.
Beyond business insights, the trip was a bridge-building experience—connecting industries, cultures, and opportunities between Germany and Vietnam. The visit underscored the importance of fostering international partnerships and opened doors for future cooperation.
As the FHDW-Paderborn delegation concludes their inspiring journey, we look forward to further strengthening ties between German businesses and Vietnam’s rapidly growing market. Stay tuned for more exciting collaborations ahead!
