Vietnamese agritech startup Enfarm, selected by AHK Vietnam to represent Vietnam at the 2nd AI Startup Award, has won the competition at the 19th Asia-Pacific Conference of German Business (APK 2026) in Seoul, highlighting the growing potential of Vietnamese AI innovation on the international stage.
The journey from Vietnam to Seoul began with Future AI – StartupPitch, organized by AHK Vietnam – Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Vietnam to identify a promising Vietnamese AI startup for the international final at APK 2026.
Enfarm emerged from the selection process to represent Vietnam in Seoul, where it competed against four other finalists from China, India, Singapore and South Korea.
Following the final pitches and a live Q&A session, delegates at APK voted Enfarm the winner of the 2nd AI Startup Award 2026.
From Vietnam’s startup ecosystem to APK 2026
The Asia-Pacific Conference of German Business is one of the key platforms for strengthening economic relations between Germany and the Asia-Pacific region. APK 2026 brought together around 800 business leaders, policymakers and industry representatives in Seoul.
For Enfarm, participation offered an opportunity not only to present its technology internationally, but also to engage directly with representatives of German government and industry.
During the final, the five startups presented their solutions before a panel including Stefan Rouenhoff, Parliamentary State Secretary at the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy; Anna Maria Braun, CEO of B. Braun; and Roland Busch, Chairman of the Asia-Pacific Committee of German Business and President and CEO of Siemens.
The winner was subsequently determined through a live vote by conference delegates.
“Representing Vietnam at APK was already a great source of pride. Having the opportunity to engage directly with the audience and then receiving the highest number of votes from leading business executives is an important recognition for Vietnamese technologists, especially those of us working in agricultural technology,”
Nguyen Do Dung, Co-founder and CEO of Enfarm.
AI addressing challenges in agriculture
At the heart of Enfarm’s pitch was a straightforward idea: every farm is different, and agronomy should therefore be personalized.
The Vietnamese startup is developing Famos, an AI-powered digital agronomy platform designed to provide farmers with recommendations based on the specific conditions of their farms.
The platform combines information such as soil conditions, weather, crop types, growth stages and cultivation history. At its core is Agos, Enfarm’s specialized AI engine for agronomic decision-making.
Rather than relying solely on a general-purpose large language model, Enfarm combines AI with specialized models and agronomic rules to address questions such as fertilizer use and other farm-level decisions.
The approach builds on Enfarm’s existing experience with agricultural IoT. More than 2,200 of its smart soil sensors have been deployed in the field over the past two years, providing the company with practical insights into how farmers interact with data and technology.
Connecting Vietnamese innovation with international opportunities
Enfarm’s success in Seoul represents more than an individual startup achievement. It provides a tangible example of how Vietnamese innovation can connect with international business networks, decision-makers and potential partners.
This is also the objective behind AHK Vietnam’s Future AI – StartupPitch initiative: to provide promising Vietnamese companies with access to platforms beyond the domestic startup ecosystem and create opportunities for exchange with German and international businesses.
Enfarm’s path from the StartupPitch in Vietnam to the APK stage in Seoul illustrates how such connections can help local innovation gain greater international visibility.
“The trophy is something we are very proud of, but what matters even more is the door it opens,” Dung said. “Technology developed in the fields of Vietnam can now enter into dialogue with some of the world’s leading companies.”
For AHK Vietnam, the result also demonstrates the potential for closer cooperation between Vietnam’s technology ecosystem and German industry, particularly in areas where digitalization can contribute to solving practical economic and sustainability challenges.
From AI and IoT to precision agriculture, Vietnamese technology companies are increasingly developing solutions with the potential to reach beyond the domestic market.
Enfarm’s win at APK 2026 is one example of that potential, and of what can happen when local innovation is connected with international networks and opportunities.
