Vietnam remains one of the world’s leading textile and garment exporters, with textiles and clothing reaching around USD 39.6 billion in export value. At the same time, fabrics and textile precursors remain a major import category, highlighting continued demand for upstream materials, supplier diversification, and value-chain upgrading. As the sector faces rising labour costs, stricter ESG requirements, and shorter lead-time expectations, opportunities are growing for automation, technical textiles, certified materials, and sustainable production solutions.

 

Against this backdrop, the webinar “Vietnam Textile Industry – Entry Points for Bavarian Companies in Southeast Asia” is aimed at Bavarian businesses wishing to better understand Vietnam’s textile ecosystem and identify concrete entry points in Southeast Asia. The focus will be on practical market insights, current industry developments, and selected opportunities for technology providers, suppliers, and textile companies considering diversification or cooperation in Vietnam.
