Draftsman/Draftswoman

Draftman and Draftwoman play a significant role in the planning and implementation of construction projects. They create the blueprints by using different drawing techniques and 3D modelling software for the execution.

The content of the training program

The vocational training program in Draftman/Draftwoman according to the standard of German DIHK includes the following main contents:

Basic drawing techniques
Software based drawing with computers
Creating plans and drawings including subject-specific calculations
Component construction
Selection and use of building materials and components
Organization and communication
Dealing with information and communication technologies
Participation in construction processes and construction work
Cooperation with authorities and other stakeholders in the construction
Quality assurance and customer-oriented working

Necessary abilities

High school graduate student with good grades in Mathematics and Physics
Interested in construction and architecture

Training time

The training program takes 2-2,5 years with 60% practical time at the company and 40% theoretical time at the Ho Chi Minh City College of Architecture and Construction .

Certificate

After graduation, the apprentices will be handed German DIHK-AHK Vietnam certificate from Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Vietnam (GIC/AHK Vietnam). In addition, they will receive Vietnamese diploma of vocational college issued by Ho Chi Minh City Construction College.
