Specialists in the gastronomy industry play an important role in building the image of a restaurant. Their tasks include arranging and preparing tables, serving diners, making recommendations and answering questions on menu offerings to customers.

The nature of the job, which involves attentive presence at the dining area and direct contact with restaurant patrons, requires professionalism and enthusiasm to achieve customers’ satisfaction through excellent service.

Content of training program

  • Communication skills, advising customer, handling trouble and complaints
  • Knowledge about ingredients, food and beverage
  • Create work plan, support and coordinate with staffs in the reception, kitchen areas…
  • Use the necessary equipment, machinery for work
  • Accomplish payments, make invoices and bills
  • Skills in serving customers, setting and decorating tables
  • Process of preparing and serving in the dining area, conference room for events.
  • Organize, manage the warehouse inventory
  • Safety at workplace and food safety

Necessary abilities

  • Willing to work in team in restaurant and hotel environment
  • Ability to communicate and advise customers
  • Hard-working, punctual, flexible
  • Patient and disciplined

Training time

The training program takes 2,5 – 3 years, combines appr. 50% of the theoretical part at vocational college and appr. 50% of the practical part at training company.
